Artwork Guidelines

Artwork / Graphics - Original artwork provided by the client may include corporate identification, company logos, graphic designs, floorplans and maps. Scannable, Black and White artwork is required for accurate reproductions and sign fabrication. Gray scale, TIFF, GIF, JPEG and BIT images are acceptable for visual only graphic applications.

Vector Graphics - Sign graphics are created using a series of lines and curves to produce an outline image. The outline is then enlarged or reduced while retaining the vector image quality and definition. Vector graphics are required by Kroy to produce quality graphics. Kroy Sign Systems preferred graphic software is Adobe Illustrator (.AI) Ver. 6.0 - 8.0. or Acrobat (PDF) Ver. 4.0.

Orientation - Orientation refers to positioning and placement of an evacuation map and / or floor plan relative to the actual direction of the map and floor as seen by the viewer. Orientation changes may be required with artwork submission and sign production. This service provided by Kroy Sign Systems.

E-mail - Please provide all required artwork via E-mail to art@signs.kroy.com. Please insure that your typestyle specifications can be achieved. Kroy Sign Systems hosts an extensive library of Adobe TrueType, ITC and Bitstream fonts for graphic reproduction.

Electronic Format - Windows and Mac OS based files are acceptable. Uncompressed formats are preferred in Adobe Illustrator (.AI) Ver. 6.0 - 8.0 or Encapsulated Post Script (.EPS). File formats (.DXF) and (.DWG) acceptable for floor plan reprographics only.

Composition

Orientation / Evacuation maps are printed using four color inkjet technology. Media is high resolution inkjet coated paper, vinyl or clear film acetate. Inserts are cut to fit into standard Kroy Criterion, Low Profile, Work Center and Kontour frame sizes or configured into custom design / build sign specifications. Maps may be used as inserts or laminated to expanded PVC and other rigid sign materials.
